BEACH / PINEAPPLE RUM
South Carolina is the home of "Beach Music"and our official State Dance, the Carolina Shag, which originated along the strands of Myrtle Beach back in the 1940s. This fragrance is reminiscent of listening to those familiar tunes while basking on the sandy shores found along our beautiful coastline. It's a mouth-watering tropical cocktail of pineapple, peach, cranberry and orange with just a splash of rum.
CHARLESTON / FIG & OAK MOSS
As the story goes; there was once a traveler who came with his Spanish fiancée in the 1700s to start a plantation near the city of Charleston, South Carolina. She was a beautiful bride-to-be with long, flowing raven hair. As the couple walked the plantation site near the forest, making plans for their future, they were suddenly attacked by a band of native Americans who were not happy to share the land of their forefathers with strangers. As a final warning to stay away from their land, they cut off the long dark hair of the bride-to-be and threw it up in an old live oak tree. As the people came back day after day and week after week, they began to notice the hair had shriveled and turned to grey and had begun spreading from tree to tree. Over the years the moss spread from South Carolina to Georgia and Florida. To this day, if one stands under a live oak tree, one will see the moss jump from tree to tree and defend itself with a large army of beetles.
In fact, this Southern tale has been told for many years. Along the South Carolina coast is Charleston, our gem of a city with a rich 300 year history that may well be America's most beautifully preserved architectural and historical treasure. Oak moss, due to its propensity for growing in humid southern locales like Charleston, is a plant often associated with Southern Gothic imagery and folklore.
Folklore aside, this rare and beautifully enigmatic fragrance with top notes of fig, green apple, strawberry and melon is one of our most popular fragrances. The heart is a fresh green floral blend with lily, rosewood jasmine and violet with a rich woody base of oak moss and velvety cashmere.

On a more personal note, my husband was born and raised in Greenville and after many years away, we are proud to make Greenville our family home and the home of Carolina Chic.
A nod to Greenville's textile heritage and a tribute to the historic textile mills and the mill workers who wove the fabric of many generations, GREENVILLE - High Cotton - has a wonderfully fresh and crisp scent of sun-dried cotton sheets with subtle notes of ripe, juicy fruit.

ISLE OF PALMS / COCONUT LIME VERBENA
Isle of Palms is a beautiful barrier island on the South Carolina coast near Charleston and one of our favorite vacation destinations. Originally named Hunting Island and then Long Island, it's thought to be at least 25,000 years old, and was first inhabited by the indigenous Seewee Indians. The Seewees were said to have greeted the first English settlers to the area by swimming to the ships and carrying the travelers to shore. Whatever contributions the English made to the Seewees reportedly inspired some of them to try and reach England in their canoes - all lost at sea in storms. Legend has it that the only other occupants of the island were the pirates who buried their treasures for safekeeping in the deserted dunes and woods, although none has been found so far.
The true treasures of Isle of Palms can be found in the memories created by her pristine beaches. Conjuring those memories is this clean, fresh coconut blend with top notes of tangerine, lime, orange and lemon verbena. The heart is clean and green with herbaceous sage, coriander, petigrain, thyme and lavender. The base is a subtle white musk.
LOWCOUNTRY / WHITE TEA & GINGER
In the heart of the South Carolina Lowcountry (a geographic and cultural region located along South Carolina's coast) on Wadmalaw Island, Camellia Sinensis tea plants are grown at the Charleston Tea Plantation and used in American Classic Tea, the only tea grown in America.
This bright citrus & tea blend begins with a top note of white tea, bergamot, mandarin orange and ginger. The aromatic heart combines thyme, jasmine, nutmeg, peony and mimosa with accents of crisp leafy greens and wild lavender.
SIR / SWEETGRASS & TOBACCO
We created this candle for the true Southern Gentleman. It celebrates the scents of the south from the farmland to the Carolina coast. The men have given it rave reviews, but the ladies seem to love it just as much, if not more. Simply put, it smells like a handsome, Southern Gentleman.
This fragrance is a masculine masterpiece. It is bold and complex - leading with a top note of leather, tobacco, amber and musk. The middle is a spicy mixture of black tea and pepper. The base note is aged teakwood with tones of patchouli, sweetgrass and sandalwood.
